DEI
Our CRC promotes an open, inclusive research environment where all team members are valued and respected. We believe that fostering diversity and embracing the unique perspectives of each researcher is crucial for scientific success.

Representation and Support for Women in Science
We address the under-representation of women in physics by promoting female role models and setting a target of 30% female representation among our young researchers. With six female Project Leaders and two Mercator Fellows, our CRC is positioned to inspire the next generation of female scientists. A dedicated gender equality officer ensures fair hiring practices and supports work-life balance.
Mentorship and Career Development Programs
Programs like the Ada Lovelace Project and the Pro Academia initiative provide tailored mentorship and leadership training for female researchers. Through the Irène Joliot-Curie Program (IJCP) by PRISMA+, our junior scientists receive additional coaching and career development support.
Family-Friendly Policies
To support work-life balance, we partner with PME Family Services, providing daycare, emergency childcare, and household assistance. These services help our researchers manage family responsibilities alongside their academic careers.

Outreach and Educational Activities
Our Collaborative Research Center (CRC) actively supports a wide range of initiatives aimed at engaging the public and promoting scientific outreach.
